Be honest, do you honestly know where your restaurant is going / going to be in the coming future?
We’re not talking about today / next week / or next month – do you know where your business is going 1-2 years from now and what’s your targeted plan of growth?
Most restaurants, cafes and newly created concepts fail to put together any sort of strategic and common goal plan together for their future plans and goal visions. They being too involved in the day to day management of the restaurant that they become to confined inside the box of ‘no-growth’ and just dealing with on-going issues surrounding their business e.g. hiring, staff training, purchasing etc.

These goals must and can only be completely non-negotiable, part of creating goals is to live and breathe them. And most importantly, their is no greater feeling that achieving all your wildest dreams both on a personal & business level.
Next step; look at your people, their strength and weaknesses – do you believe your employees are the people you want to invest in or are they not the right people that will take you forward with your goals? Make sure to be 100% honest with yourselves, as achieving the bottom line on your P&L after analyzing your current situation many business owners can go down the wrong path when they tend to avoid it.
Make a list of all the employees you en-vision being with along your restaurant’s journey, and strive to invest and grow with them.
Finally it’s very crucial to reflect and ask “What do I need to stop doing? and “What do I need to start doing?” to change this present situation I’m currently in to achieve my greatest goals of future success. The answers can be hard to accept, yet some can be quite encouraging and surprise you. 🙂
